Anshe Mitzvah

Every two years, JRC offers a special Anshe Mitzvah course for adults who have never studied to become a bar or bat mitzvah. Each Anshe Mitzvah group studies Hebrew at a weekly class, learns to read Torah and recite blessings, becomes proficient in leading a service, and meets with Rabbi Friedman for a theology session once a month. The culmination of this training is a special service led by Anshe Mitzvah participants.
