Judea Reform is a long-standing member of the following interfaith organizations involved in local relief efforts:
Inter-Faith Council for Social Services of Chapel Hill (IFC) is one of the primary providers of basic services to lower income families and individuals in southern Orange County. One of the ways IFC accomplishes this is through strong partnerships with local congregations. IFC offers emergency shelter for homeless men, women and children each day. The Community Kitchen serves hot meals to the public three times a day, every day. Project Homestart supports 33 homeless families with transitional housing and case management services. For more information on IFC, please visit their website at http://www.ifcweb.org/.
Durham Congregations in Action (DCIA) is a consortium of 57 Durham churches and synagogues whose mission is to organize, implement and support a number of outreach activities and agencies in Durham. DCIA provides support, resources, and services to the homeless and hungry and offers interfaith networking opportunities to address the basic needs of Durham's citizens.
Urban Ministries is a Durham-based organization that provides food, clothing, shelter, and counseling to our neighbors in need. Based on shared religious principles, Urban Ministries strives to create a welcoming, caring, and compassionate environment that affirms the dignity of our guests, donors, volunteers and staff.
