Rejoice, Renew, Reaffirm: JRC Art Show

September – December 2018

Are you an artist? Celebrating the High Holy Days is our inspiration for our Congregational Art Show in the Rosenzweig Gallery, September - December 2018. This show will be on display during the High Holy Days, and the opening reception will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 following Shabbat Services.

You're invited to submit a work of art to be displayed in this show featuring our own congregants. Submitted pieces that meet the following guidelines will be displayed in the show:

  • Paintings, prints, drawings, photos, weaving and other flat 2-D work must be ready to hang (framed and wired for hanging.) *

  • Sculpture, pottery and all 3-dimensional work must be display-ready (stand or pedestal included) to be displayed in the gallery's glass case. *

  • Must be an original work created by the artist.

  • Artist must be a current Judea Reform member, high school age or above.

  • Artist must complete the online application by Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

  • Each artist may only submit one 2-D and/or one 3-D piece.

  • Artist may choose whether art is for sale or not for sale.

  • All artwork must be delivered to the Arts & Acquisitions Committee at Judea Reform on Aug 15, 16 or 19 during  TCB@JRC, or by special appointment.*

  • All artwork must be identified with the artist's name, address, email, and phone number clearly printed on the artwork itself or on a removable tag or sticker label. Improper identification may render a submission ineligible.

  • Artists will pick up their pieces in January 2019 at the conclusion of the show
