Shabbat Service: Celebrating Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM)
Friday, February 4, 2022 • 3 Adar I 5782
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Please join Judea Reform for our annual
Inclusion Shabbat Service
February 4th, 2022 at 6pm.
While we embrace Inclusion all year round, we join with the Reform Movement in marking the February celebration of Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month. Judea Reform proudly advances the two pillars of an inclusive community: the spirit of belonging and the structure of inclusion. Belonging is something we all want in our lives; inclusion focuses on what our organizations can do to foster that sense of belonging.
We will be joined by guest speaker Jacklyn Googins, co-founder of B3 Coffee. B3 coffee is a nonprofit, pop-up coffee shop and online community that serves as a platform of positive visibility and community connection for people of all abilities.
We will recognize all the many ways Inclusion work has been integrated into the very fabric of our community—from livestreaming (brought to Judea Reform by the Daniel Weiss Fund) to easy access for the High Holy Days to large print prayer books and listening devices for weekly Shabbat worship, and much more.
