Through reading, sharing and reflecting on traditional, modern and personal stories, we will follow the rhythm of the holy days through a Jewish year. As Jews, we have inherited a rich collection of written and oral stories spanning ancient, medieval, mystical, Hasidic, modern and personal narratives. Each session will include one or more stories and an open discussion including the context of the stories in the arc of Jewish history and culture from pre-history/first Temple, biblical, through the post-exilic stories of the diaspora, Shoah, to current “post-modern” and 21st century experience. This class is a series and attendance at multiple sessions is suggested. Those interested can reach out to Bill Friedman at swilliamfriedman@gmail.com
