Do you know that there is a comprehensive commentary on the Five Books of Moses authored only by women?

The Women’s Group of Judea Reform cordially invites you to join us for a Women's Torah Study: "Journey Through the Torah: A Women's Commentary" on Saturday, April 21 at 3:00 PM in the Mo'adon in JRC's Education Center. 

The Women of Reform Judaism, WRJ, commissioned the work of more than 100 of the world's leading Jewish female Bible scholars, rabbis, cantor, and others to interpret the Torah from the point of view of women. The text includes individual Torah portions as well as the Hebrew and English translations, giving dimension to the women's voices in our tradition.

Rena Fraade, our Interim Director of Congregational Learning, will take us through the journey of the Women’s Commentary to understand how it came to be and why it is so remarkable. We will study the week’s Torah portion, Tazria-Metzora, using the Women’s Commentary to explore their perspective on the portion. No prior knowledge of the Women’s Commentary or studying Torah are required!
