Purimspiel & Megillah Reading

Wednesday, March 20, 2019 13 Adar II 5779

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

What's your name, huh? Esther Hamilstein!

Come celebrate Purim in the Sanctuary at our annual Purimspiel in which the biblical story of Esther is told through parodies of well-known songs. Join our stellar cast of congregants as they sing an all-original libretto with words penned by our talented writing team using the magic of the smash hit Hamilton played by our Congregational Band. This is a fun, free, and family-friendly event.

Join us in fulfilling the Purim obligation of Matanot La'evyonim (gifts to the poor) by bringing non-perishable food items, and socks and hygiene supplies to be delivered to Urban Ministries and Meals on Wheels of Durham,  El Refugio in Stewart, GA, the Interfaith Food Kitchen and PORCH in Chapel Hill.
