Births and Adoptions
Births and Adoptions
Welcoming a child into your family is cause for joy and celebration, for the Jewish people as well as for those who love him or her most. You are welcoming someone into your home; we are welcoming someone into our communicty.
The ceremonies for a new child can also mark the adoption of a child into a Jewish family. It's all about creating a place in a Jewish home and a Jewish community.
For more information about these ceremonies, see the URJ's web page, by clicking here.
For more information about welcoming a child, here, in our community, please contact Julie Fishkin, Life Cycle & Pastoral Care Coordinator, 919-489-7062, ext 227, by email by clicking here.
